There are three sentient races on the planet of Athran. The Elves were the first born, the children of Oberon and Titiana. They spread over the entire planet living as one with nature, respecting the life that covered the world. Then come the emergence of Humans, and with it the dusk of the Elves. With the departure of the Elder Gods, the Elves went into retreat and seemingly vanished from the world. Humans started to replace them, their cities growing and taking over the landscape of the planet. Under the watch of the younger gods, the humans came to rule over the world as the Elves once did, but they subjugated nature, fighting it, controlling it with science rather than living with it. They reveled in their science until Loki's Hammer fell from the sky, obliterating their world. Now in the world that grew from the rubble of that day, the Elves have returned. No longer the peaceful and caring creatures they once were, they hunt humans without compassion. Worse still in the eyes of many are the results of the numerous rapes of human women which have lead to the third race, that of the Half-Elves, part elves, part human though truly belonging to either race. Now these three races control the destiny of Athran, they will determine where the world will go after Loki's Hammer.
