Who Created Apollo: The History and The Hoax and why?The creator of this site is a Computer Programmer and Web Designer from New Zealand. Born just before the final Apollo mission, he has been interested in the stars and space since he was old enough to read about them. The highlight of his space watching life was watching the live broadcast of Columbia performing the first ever Space Shuttle launch in 1981. Since then he has been fascinated by space travel and the planetary missions, becoming an Apollo enthusiast. He was trained at the University of Otago in Dunedin New Zealand, where he did a BSc in Chemistry and Computer Science. He also studied Physics and Psychology. Since then he has worked as an Analytical Chemist and now as a Computer Programmer dealing with .NET programming. In 2001 he discovered that there were claims that Apollo was hoaxed, and to his greater amazement, he found that many people actually believed this. Digging deeper into the mysteries of the Hoax Claims, he became an active part of discussions on a number of Forums including ApolloHoax.net, The Bad Astronomy Bulletin Board and godlikeproductions, all of which he goes by the username PhantomWolf. After several years in partaking in discussions he come to the conclusion that one of the major reasons that many believe in the hoax is because they don't know the history of the Space program and because it is so large many find it hard to learn about it. This website is an attempt to open up the the Apollo Program in a way that is easy to read and understand, and to discuss and show why the hoax claims are wrong by comparing them with the science and the history of Apollo, and the history of both the Soviet and American Space Programs. Are you associated with NASA?No. The closest I have ever been to NASA is going on the public tour of Mission Control in Houston, Texas. I live in New Zealand and have done so all my life with the exception of two short trips to the US for holidays. I have never knowingly been in direct contact with anyone at NASA and all of this work has been done without their help other than the use of publically available documents found on their website. But you have NASA emblems on the front page. That proves you're connected to NASA!No, it just means that I liked the emblems and since this is a Website about Apollo, I added them to it. Come on you had to have got help from someone!Well yes I did. My grateful thanks to the members of ApolloHoax.net for their help with this work. They added their suggestions and have told me where I had my facts wrong, or could explain something better. Without their help this work would have been a lot harder, and probably full of errors as well. Are you getting paid to do this?I wish. No, this entire site has been done on my own time and no one has paid me for doing it. The site looks far too professional not to be paid for!I'd have to say thank you. One of my main skills is Web design, so I did try to make it look simple and professional. Doing so is not really that hard if you know what you are doing. In this case the entire site was created with nothing more that Paint Shop Pro 7 for the buttons and headers, and Windows Notepad for coding. The Copyright says PhantomProductions. If it isn't paid for, What is PhantomProductions?PhantomProductions is the name I use for my software and web design. All of the software and sites I own or have been done for others have the Copyright to PhantomProductions on them. How can I contact you?I'm able to be contacted through the ApolloHoax.net Board or through the Bad Astronomy Universe Today Board, or you can send me an email by clicking on the button below. |
